Who we are

Rooster ("we") provides software that helps local businesses manage reviews, online profiles, social posts and customer messages. Contact: hello@rooster.example, [postal address].

What we collect

  • Account information: your name, email, business name, billing details (handled by our payment processor; we don't store full card numbers).
  • Business data you connect: content from your Google Business Profile, social accounts, website, and job, booking or point-of-sale tools you authorize, including reviews, posts, photos, hours, services and appointment or job history.
  • Your customers' data: names, contact details, consent records and service history that you collect and that your connected tools share with us. We process this on your behalf as a service provider.
  • Usage data: what you approve, edit and reject; device and log information; analytics about how the app is used.

How we use it

To provide the service: reading your business's activity, drafting content and messages, sending what you approve, and improving drafts for your business over time. To run our business: billing, support, security, and product analytics. We do not sell personal information and we do not use your data to train AI models.

Who we share it with

Service providers who help us run Rooster (hosting, AI providers under no-training terms, messaging carriers, payment processing, analytics), platforms you've asked us to publish to, and authorities when the law requires it.

Your customers' information

You are responsible for collecting it lawfully and for obtaining consent for text messages. We use it only to perform the service for you, keep it separate from other businesses' data, and delete it when you ask or when your account closes.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. After cancellation, data is retained for 30 days for reactivation, then deleted, except where the law requires longer retention. You can export or request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to opt out of certain uses. Contact us to exercise them. We don't discriminate for doing so.

Security

See our security page.

Children

Rooster is for businesses and isn't directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

We'll post updates here and notify account holders of material changes.
