Setup, and what to expect

Everything you need to go from signup to your first morning, and what happens after.

Setup in ten minutes

You'll need your business name and city, and to be signed in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile. That's it to start.

  • Find your business. Type the name and city. Rooster shows the Google listing, website and social accounts it thinks are yours. Confirm each with a tap.
  • Watch it learn. Three to five minutes. It reads your reviews, services or menu, photos, past posts, and the businesses near you. You'll see progress as it goes.
  • Check the summary. One page: what you do, your hours, your signature services, what customers praise and complain about, your nearest competitors, and your voice in one sentence. Tap anything that's wrong and fix it. Each fix becomes a permanent, verified fact.
  • Answer five questions. Your goals for the next few months, any hard rules, who approves, which channels to run, and whether you have a text-consent checkbox in place (see below).

Your first morning list arrives the next day.

Connecting accounts

Google Business Profile

Sign in with Google and grant access to manage your Business Profile. Rooster asks only for that. If your profile isn't verified yet, Rooster walks you through Google's verification and works from your public listing in the meantime.

Instagram and Facebook

Posting requires an Instagram business or creator account. Converting a personal account takes about two minutes and Rooster shows you how. Facebook posting uses your Page. Until both are connected, posts are drafted for you to copy and post by hand.

Job, booking and POS tools

Jobber, Housecall Pro, Square, Booksy and Gmail connect with a sign-in. For tools without a connection, upload a weekly export of jobs or appointments and Rooster does the rest. This is what powers reminders, quote follow-ups and after-job review requests.

Photos

Share your job photos from your phone or upload a batch. Rooster captions and files them, and picks from them for posts. Nothing is posted until you approve it.

Your first morning

Open the app. You'll see between three and eight items, each with a draft, a one-line reason, and where the facts came from.

  • Approve sends it on schedule.
  • Edit sends your version and teaches Rooster what you changed.
  • Skip means not now. It may come back if still relevant.
  • Reject with a reason (wrong tone, wrong fact, too salesy, not now) means don't do it like this again.
  • Questions are one-tap answers, like which of two hours is right.

The first week's drafts will need edits. That's expected and it's how Rooster learns. Most owners see drafts needing no changes within two to three weeks.

Rooster will not text a customer without written consent on file for that number. The simplest way to collect it is a checkbox on your invoice, booking form or checkout. Rooster gives you the exact wording during setup, and records the date and source when a customer opts in.

Enforced automatically: texts only between 8am and 8pm in the customer's local time, at most three a day per customer, and any reply like STOP removes that customer from every text list immediately. Email requests have their own unsubscribe link.

This is a product description, not legal advice. Texting laws vary by state and change often. Have a lawyer confirm your consent language.

How learning works

Three ways, from fastest to slowest.

  • Rules you state apply immediately and never expire. "Never mention pricing." "Always sign replies Ray."
  • Edits you make become lessons once the same change shows up a few times. Change "we" to "I" three times and drafts switch to first person.
  • Results shape timing and topics. Posts that got attention at a certain time move other posts there.

Auto-send is off for everything at first. After twenty clean approvals of one task type, Rooster offers to schedule that type automatically, with a cancel window. You can turn it back off any time, per type or all at once.

Your data

We store what Rooster needs to do your work: your business facts, reviews, posts, photos you share, job and booking history from connected tools, customer contact details you collect, and everything you approve or edit. We do not train AI models on it. Export it any time from settings. Delete your account and everything derived from your data is removed within 30 days. See security and privacy.

Wake up to customers

Set up in ten minutes tonight. Tomorrow morning, your first six tasks are waiting for a tap.
