Members leave quietly. Catch them before they do.
Most cancellations happen in the first few months, and the sign is simple: they stopped showing up. Rooster notices, nudges, and asks your happiest new members for a review at exactly the right moment.
Before the 6am class is over
Rooster reads check-ins, new sign-ups and reviews overnight. A Monday for a group-training gym:
- Nudges to members who missed their usual classes two weeks running
- Review requests to members who just finished their third or fourth class
- Reply to the weekend's reviews, coach named
- An Instagram post from Saturday's class photo
Playbooks for the studio
Retention is the business. Acquisition is Instagram and word of mouth. Rooster covers both.
At-risk nudges
Attendance drops trigger a friendly, personal check-in, not a generic 'we miss you.'
Third-class review ask
New members are most likely to review right after they've fallen for the place. Rooster asks then.
Instagram cadence
Class photos, member wins with permission, coach intros. Steady, not spammy.
Trial follow-up
Free-trial visitors who didn't sign up get a short note in the window when most people decide.
Google profile
Class types, schedule, 'beginner friendly,' new photos, the details that make someone walk in.
Challenge and event promos
A seasonal challenge or a charity WOD, promoted to the right members and the neighborhood.
Retention is the whole business
A member who checks in three times a week almost never cancels. One who checks in once is a coin flip. Rooster watches the check-ins so you can act on the coin flips.
Questions from studio owners
I use Mindbody or PushPress. They have at-risk lists.
They list. Rooster writes the message, times it, and puts it in front of you with everything else that morning. It reads check-ins where the integration exists or from a weekly export.
We're a martial arts school with kids' classes.
Rooster messages parents, never minors, and keeps kids' photos out of posts unless you've marked a release on file.
Can coaches post on their own?
Yes. Coaches can be approvers for their own class content, with you copied.
